A low polygon vintage (or modern? ) cage lamp 3D model for scenes and games, archviz etc.
Asset features:
- high quality low poly model with proper topology, subdivision ready
- UV mapped (tileable textures – can be reused across other assets for better optimization for real time rendering)
- real life dimensions
- PBR specular glossiness workflow suitable for Cryengine, Blender 3D (EEVEE renderer) and other DCC tools that use specular glossiness workflow.
Model’s info:
- 3,715 faces
- 7,.357 tris
PBR tileable textures:
- _diff – diffuse (albedo)
- _spec – specularity
- _ddna – normal map with smoothness in alpha
You can of course easily decimate it if needed to go lower however due to the nature of this 3d cage lamp I left it a little bit higher in terms of tris. Especially it casts shadows to create a unique atmosphere suitable for 3D scenes, short films and other projects in general therefore I decided to keep it on a tad higher topology. You could always optimize it easily as by decimating it.
Console / side table not included – sorry, will upload it separately soon.
For Blender Users
For Blender use EEVEE renderer. I’ve attached the .blend file to make easier. Note textures attached (bronze, rubber, glass) use DX textures, specular /gloss so use Specular shader unless you’re familiar with Principal BSDF. You can freely use Subdivision modifier if you need it for your for your renders, perhaps interior design or anything more architectural..
Normal texture map also contains smoothness / glossiness map in alpha hence you can connect it to roughness node in your setup. Invert it first though (invert node).
For Cryengine Users
You can use Cryengine’s FBX importer. You may also create some LODs as I was fine with it. Circa 3.4k tris was fine for me. Use bronze textures for and rubber for your material setup. Sorry, it’s not compiled but it takes literally few minutes to set it up the way you want it. Textures can be drag & dropped into Cryengine’s asset browser and will compile in no time.
There are 4 material slots:
- bronze
- black rubber / plastic
- bulb (outer glass)
- inner bulb ( emission only)
Rendering
Sample renders rather quick from Blender, small light + HDR without special setup.
Included FBX for importing to other software such as 3DS Max, Maya, Modo, Unity, Unreal Engine, Unigine, Cryengine
PS. I’m going to share this 3D cage side table lamp model for 3 for some time, perhaps later on it will be available for some reasonable amount.
